Travel Inside the United States

Carry your immigration documents (passport, I-94, I-20 or DS 2019, or H, O, TN, E approval notice) when travelling within the United States. This is particularly important when you are travelling in a state that borders Mexico or Canada.

Passport. Your passport should remain valid while you are in the United States. Contact your home country's Embassy or Consulate to renew your passport.
