After working all day, why not take time off and play softball?  It's a great way to add some balance to your life.  If you don't know how to play, we are pleased to teach you.  We always welcome beginners!   Even if you don't hit the ball, your teammates cheer you on.  If you get on base or catch the ball, they cheer even louder!

Summer softball is a tradition at Caltech.  It's especially fun to be on a team with so many countries represented.  I can help teach the rules of game, but I learn so much from my teammates about the games they play back home.  By the end of the summer season, we are one team doing our best together.

Manuel Monge Osorio

Manuel, 2016 team co-captain and graduate student from Peru.

I joined the team last year, and let me tell you, it's a blast!  No matter how busy your schedule looks, there is always time for Globe Throopers Softball!  Every game is so much fun!  There is always a place for you on the team!  It is a great place to meet new people and make new friends.
