Transportation from LAX to Pasadena

Transportation from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Pasadena for one passenger.
Bus
You can take the LAXFlyaway to Union Station and then take the metro up to Pasadena (line A).
Van or Car
-> You can book and pay in advance, prior to your move, your transport from LAX to Pasadena. It can be either in a van (big and comfortable car) or in a smaller car. The taxi driver will be waiting for you outside of the Terminal (Tom Bradley for International flights), at the curbside. Since you already paid the course, you will have the booking reference and the taxi driver's contact information. If you need to be in touch with him/her through text or phone, you may need to buy an American SIM card (on sale in any shop that sells newspaper, magazines, water, crackers within the airport). For those of you who have subscribed to an international phone plan, you can easily contact your taxi driver. Expect to pay $110-$120 and you add a tip (~15%).

-> You can also choose a cheaper way without booking in advance and have a ride on the go in a taxi, Uber, Lyft or Opali. You have to take LAXit which is the free airport bus from the terminal to the off-site location which is about 2 miles away. Once arrived, you can take a taxi, or choose Uber, Lyft, Opali. Expect to pay between $80-$100+ and you add a tip (~ 15% of the cost). Do not expect to pay a cheaper price with Uber; the yellow cab (standard taxi in Los Angeles) offer the same rates, from LAX to Pasadena.

Time From LAX to Pasadena: Depending on the time of your arrival, the trip may vary between 45 minutes to 1.5 hour (rush hour/traffic). Usually, you give a tip to the driver, unless the service was not enjoyable.
